If you can't log in to your Wagmo account, the most common reason is that your account hasn't been activated yet, or you're using the wrong email address. Logging in and activating are two different steps, and most "I can't log in" problems are actually one of those two things.
Activation is the one-time setup of your Wagmo account. For employer-sponsored Wagmo Wellness plans, activation happens after your plan's effective date and involves adding your pet's details and setting up your reimbursement method. You activate using a welcome email link from Wagmo.
For Direct Purchase Wagmo plans, activation is built into checkout. If you signed up directly on wagmo.io, you don't have a separate activation step. Once your payment is processed, you can log in.
Logging in is ongoing access to your Wagmo account at wagmo.io/sign-in after your account is set up.
How to tell which one you need:
- You enrolled in a Wagmo Wellness plan through your employer and this is your first time accessing your account. You need to activate. See How do I activate my Wagmo Wellness plan account?
- Your employer-sponsored plan's effective date hasn't arrived yet. You can't activate or log in before your effective date. See When can I activate or log in to my Wagmo account?
- You signed up for a Wagmo plan directly through wagmo.io. You don't need to activate separately. Log in at wagmo.io/sign-in using the email address you used at checkout.
- You've set up your account before but can't get in now. You need to log in. If your email isn't recognized, it may be the wrong email address. See Which email address should I use to activate or log in to Wagmo? If you've forgotten your password, see How do I reset my password?
- You're not sure if you activated. Try logging in first at wagmo.io/sign-in. If the system tells you the account isn't recognized or the email doesn't exist, you likely haven't activated yet (or you're using the wrong email).
- You never received the welcome email. See I haven't received my activation email. What do I do?
If you haven't enrolled in a Wagmo Wellness plan through your employer yet, neither activation nor login will work. Contact your HR or benefits team to confirm your enrollment. If you enrolled in the past few days, it may take your employer a few days to send us enrollment files. Once we receive your enrollment, your welcome email is sent the next business day on or after your effective date.
