Whether a cancellation fee applies to your Wagmo Wellness plan depends on how you enrolled, how you pay for the plan, and whether you've received reimbursements during the current plan year. In most cases, no cancellation fee applies.
Employer-sponsored Wagmo Wellness plans
Cancellation fees do not apply to Wagmo Wellness plans enrolled through an employer. Employer-sponsored plans have their own cancellation rules, including open enrollment windows and qualifying life event requirements. See How do I cancel my Wagmo Wellness plan? for details.
The rest of this article applies to Direct Purchase Wagmo Wellness plans.
24-hour cancellation window
If you newly enrolled in a Wagmo Wellness plan and weren't enrolled in a Wagmo Wellness plan during the prior 90 days, you can cancel within 24 hours of enrollment with no cancellation fee. Your membership fee may be fully refundable in this window. Claims that have already been filed and processed during the 24 hours will affect any refund.
Annual Wagmo Wellness plans
If you have an annual Wagmo Wellness plan and cancel after the 24-hour window, no cancellation fee applies, even if you've already received reimbursements during the plan year. If you paid your annual fee in full upfront, Wagmo will refund the lesser of:
- A prorated refund based on the full months remaining in your plan year, or
- The full annual fee minus the undiscounted value of all services and products reimbursed during the plan year.
For example, if you paid for an annual Wagmo Wellness plan and cancel in month one without having submitted any claims, you'll receive a refund equal to eleven months of fees.
Monthly Wagmo Wellness plans
If you have a monthly Wagmo Wellness plan and have not received any reimbursements during the current plan year, no cancellation fee applies. Wagmo retains payments already collected, including the installment for the month in which you cancel.
If you have a monthly Wagmo Wellness plan and have received reimbursements during the current plan year, a cancellation fee may apply. The fee is based on the difference between the membership fees you've paid and the amount you've been reimbursed for claims. If your reimbursements exceed your payments, the difference is owed at cancellation.
A note on outstanding claims
All claims for services rendered while your Wagmo Wellness plan was active should be submitted before canceling.
