Our policies are written for a specific pet. However, you may have the option to swap your pet for another pet if you have had a Qualifying Life Event (QLE) recently. These include:
- If your pet has passed away
- If your pet has a new owner (rehomed pet)
- If your plan is about to renew
If you experience a qualifying life event, please contact support@wagmo.io and provide any documentation for a pet passing or being rehomed, as well as the name, date of birth, breed, gender, and spay/neuter status of your new pet. Once we have this information, we will be happy to help you complete your request.
If you do not have a qualifying life event and signed up for a plan through your employer, you may be able to switch the pet covered by your Wellness plan when it renews for a new policy year as long as no claims have been made for your previous pet during the new policy year. Simply contact our support team within 30 days after the renewal date and provide the information mentioned above for the new pet you prefer to have covered, and we'll review eligibility and help as needed.
Please note that the above only applies to our Wellness plans. Pets cannot be swapped for insurance plans.
